Online Gambling Ring Busted in Indonesia

DHP Radio, Indonesia – Indonesian police just busted a major online gambling ring in Pekanbaru. The syndicate ran a Higgs Domino operation with an alleged turnover of over $220,000 a month.

The first raid took down 5 suspects and seized 102 custom-built PCs. Hours later, a second site was hit, netting 6 more suspects and 18 more machines, according to detikNews.

Cops dug deeper and learned the operation’s boss, identified as JJ, had fled to Malaysia. But on June 21, when JJ landed in Pekanbaru, police were waiting at the gate.

In total, 12 people were arrested. Authorities say JJ led the online casino ring, pulling in billions of rupiah monthly. The case exposes the growing digital underworld in Southeast Asia.
